BOONSONG KOSITCHOTETHANASINGAPORE: Scoot and Tigerair, the two budget airlines under Singapore Airlines, yesterday completed their merger to become a medium-size airline. Tigerair yesterday bade farewell as its last flight departed Singapore for Tiruchirappalli, India at 11:05pm. All Tigerair flights will now operate under the Scoot brand, with all flights using the TR flight designator code that was given to Tigerair. The airline's planned flights to Kuching, Kuantan and Palembang will be serviced by Airbus A320s, the narrow-body jet type featured in Tigerair's fleet before the integration.
